Signum DJ

Signum is the name for two European producers, Pascal Minnaard and Ronald Hagen. They are producers who create and remix mainly trance music. They both live in Zoetermeer, a city in the Netherlands. In 2008, Pascal moved to Norway with his new found love and fiance. Both Ron and Pascal still work together with the aid of computers and the internet technology and share projects together to create Signum tracks and DJ Sets. Their first notable mainstream success was in 1997 with 'What you got for me' (released on the JINX label), becoming a true club anthem. This song was re-released in 2001 and entered the UK Top 40 Singles chart.

Early years Signum started out on the BPM dance label, and stayed with them until 2003 when the label was disbanded. 2000 - Present With their success of 'What Ya Got 4 Me', they continued to remix tracks and produce material including; 'Forever', 'Better Off Alone,' 'Take U There' and 'On Stream'. A lot of their work in this period did well in dance and club charts and was well received by DJs. Their next big achievement came when they collaborated with British producer / DJ Scott Mac to create 'Coming On Strong', which again was a big hit in the clubs. After this, they again went to do remixes for major artists including ATB and Alice Deejay.

With a large amount of remixes under their belt, they decided to start creating and performing their own material, their DJ debut was in July 2001 at Gatecrasher in the UK. After an impressive debut, they went on to play at various prestigious Dance venues including 'Godskitchen', 'Gatecrasher', 'Passion' and 'Slinky'. They also played the 'great' festivals that year. Since their DJ debut, that have played in the following places: * Australia * Spain * Japan * Ibiza * UK * Ireland * Canada * Africa * Switzerland * Germany * Mallorca * Malaysia * Russia In 2003 BPM Dance stopped being a record label, forcing Signum to find a new label. They didn't have to wait long, they were signed to Armada Music in Summer 2003. Their first release on this label, 'Push Through' was from their new album, 'A State Of Trance'. The album name is named after Armin Van Buuren's popular radio show. In 2004 Signum teamed up with female vocalist Anita Kelsey, and created "Come Around Again", yet another success, as well as being dubbed by Signum as "the track they've always wanted to make".[1] 2005 was also prommising with a tour in Australia and New Zealand with other famous DJs. Their remix of an Armin van Buuren track became the official anthem for the Sensation White 2005 Party. Signum also produce music under another alias 'D-Factor'. These productions are more on the darker side of electronic music.. The owner of the myspace site for Signum also is part of the team, who is based in London, UK. 2008 was a positive year for Signum after struggling times. Signum entered the top 100 entry for the DJ Mag Top 100 DJ's award. They were awarded at position #72 on this list, which is a huge leap from previous years.
